trivial noticing

my prayers and love to the following:

- you stayed when you wanted to run

- you prayed when you wanted to isolate

- you reached out instead of staying silent

- you cried instead of keeping it in

- you sat with it instead of ignoring or numbing it

you are seen.

you are doing good things.

you are Loved.

and the pain is still real.

and... I am grateful for you.

keep looking up.

there is more than these temporary moments of

pain,

suffering,

confusion,

and unbelief.

there is beauty amidst them.

below is a picture I took on my last hike up Mt. Misery,

where I learned the actual understanding of going uphill both ways.

when I hike,

I notice,

and I process,

and I allow Creation to be my teacher and guide.

when I noticed this leaf,

I decided to take this picture,

I called out to my partner on the trail and said I was taking a moment.

sure it might have seemed trivial to stop

and take a picture of my feet with a leaf that has a heart-like shape.

but to me,

it was a reminder that I am Loved

no matter where I am,

no matter what I feel about myself,

no matter how difficult or miserable life may be.

i am Loved.

how grateful I am for these seemingly trivial,

but oh such profound moments

in what often feels like an uninhabitable world.

i pray you see even just a glimpse of beauty in your world today.

signs are everywhere.

i'd love if you would share your noticing with me!
